Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Music Is My Inspiration ContestWell guys I've decided to start my own contest, because I had awesome feedback on the idea ^_^
It'll be my first contest that I've held...EVER! So it's very exciting :3

Even though it doesn't seem so, I'm alive

Gosh, last journal entry: the end of January. Now it's the beginning of March. Gosh. 1,402 Deviations, 573 Messages

I definitely need a few more hours a day so I will be able to sort it all out finally! I'm sorry for all the delays! And I'm sorry if I skip any deviation, journal entry or something else, it's only by accident!
I've been quite busy recently and when I had some free time, I was just too tired to turn on the computer (and to be honest, when I saw more than 1,700 deviations and almost 600 messages in my message center I wanted to run away and hide somewhere

but no worries, now I'm ready to make these numbers decrease

).
So many things happened during the last few weeks! I had a photo session with my classmate, Ania, I think it turned out well so you'll see the results in my gallery soon

I rarely take portraits, but I think I like it more and more every time... Well, I have to practise every kind of photography!

26 February-1 March I was in Koszalin (north Poland, quite close to the seaside, about 400 km from my hometown) with a theatre group from my school, because we were participating in a whole-Poland competition of French-speaking theatre groups from secondary schools. We didn't win anything, but we had GREAT FUN!

At school as usual, tests, homework, some boring, some interesting stuff... But generally I feel so happy! SOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!

Some of you already know, some of you may suspect, the rest, who is clever I hope, will find some clues on my shoutboard

You know, I've started to play the guitar again! At least I try to play

I have to learn... But it gives me more pleasure to play now than 6 years ago, when I was learning to play the guitar in primary school. It seems we have to grow up to some things

On 11th March it will be my dAnniversary! Whole 3 years spent on dA... And I'm not gonna leave this place soon

I've found and I find every day a lot of inspiration here, I've learned and I still learn a lot and I've met and still meet fantastic people here, some of them even became my really good friends! Being on deviantART is one of the best things I've decided to do in my life
